Frequently asked questions.
How much are lessons? And how do I pay?
Our 2025 Learn to Swim lessons are $17.50 per lesson, per child. Invoices are processed and emailed out at the beginning of the term, charging for the whole term block. Families have 3 weeks to finalise their payment. Payment can be made either through direct deposit, or card/cash in the office. Bookings with 3 or more children will receive a 10% discount.
We understand life can sometimes get in way and you may not be able to pay within the due date, if that’s the case we please ask that you contact us if your fees are going to be late for the term. If your fees are not paid and we have received no communication, it may result in your child’s spot being cancelled.
What if I wish to take my child out of lessons for an extended period of time?
We are mindful that more families are taking their children out of school during term time for extended travel. If you decide to do this, your options are to pay for the full term and attend when you can. This keeps your class spot held for when you return. Alternatively, you can cancel your class spot, so no fees are payable, and take the whole term off. This does then open your childs class spot to others we may have on our waitlist. We also can’t guarantee the same class day/time if you wish to return.
How long does my enrolment last?
Your class booking is automatically rolled over each term, which secures your booking for as long as you would like it. If you do not require your spot for the upcoming term and are planning on not returning, we require minimum of 2 weeks notice prior to the end of that current term. Once the new term has commenced and you then decide not to continue or not show up, you will be liable for a $50 late notice fee.
Please be aware that we are unable to hold places if you wish to skip a term, unless you wish to pay for the full term to hold the spot.
What if my child is sick?
We do ask for your child not to attend if they are sick. To encourage this, we offer 3 make up lessons per term. These can be arranged only if notice is given at the time of illness advising us of the absence, and if a spot is available in an appropriate class on another available day. If fees are outstanding, no make up lessons are to be requested.
A maximum of 3 make up lessons are available per term, and they are not transferrable from term to term.
What do I need to bring to a swimming lesson?
Appropriate swimwear, goggles, swim cap and a towel. We do recommend against the wearing of long sleeve rashies as these can inhibit arm movement. We ask that all children who require a nappy wear either some form of disposable or reuseable water nappy whilst in the pool.
Can I take photos of my child’s lesson?
Yes, you absolutely can! We know that you all love to watch your children’s lessons, and understandably this often involves taking pictures and videos to capture their swimming milestones.
However, we would appreciate when doing so that you please be considerate and mindful that not all other parents may be comfortable with their children being in your pictures without their consent. This can be especially relevant in our Parent and Me classes where we not only have a lot of younger toddlers, but also parents who may not particularly feel comfortable being in your family memories as well! If you would like some pictures/videos of your own child, we can suggest taking them aside at the end of the class to capture pictures on their own, where they can show off their newly acquired skills.
